Bowls, Bowls, BowlsThis basic ceramic form has a surprising number of variations. We'll be making regular stacking soup/salad bowls, and also small bowls thrown off the hump, nesting bowls, large bowls, and pedestal bowls. Making bowls is a great opportunity to refine your throwing skills and challenge yourself to throw larger (and smaller) than you might be used to. You'll find that this form also provides opportunities to include carving, sgraffito, and other decorating techniques to make your pieces unique.This class is appropriate for all levels, beginners and those with experience. We will be working with both wheel thrown and hand built pieces. Class price includes glazes, firing, open studio time, and 25# clay. Additional clay: $20-$25/25# new clay, $10-$12/25# recycled clay.
