It is effective in treating emotional and physical ailments and works in conjunction with traditional medicine to promote recovery and is offered in many hospitals. Reiki treats the whole person, body, mind and spirit, creating beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of well being. Reiki skills are taught in a classroom setting, but the ability to use Reiki energy is transferred to the student by an attunement given by a Reiki Master, which allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve their health and enhance their quality of life.
