Adaptive swim lessons are for swimmers with Intellectual disabilities or physical disabilities that need a small class setting. Ratio is 3:5 for these swim lessons.A session will run Tuesday and Thursday nights Beginners: will practice putting face in the water / bobbing under water, building independence and comfort in floating / swimming on front and back, safety techniques such as following rules while in and around water Intermediate : will be able to swim ( kick , paddle ) in shallow water for a short distance ., practice improving freestyle and backstroke swim skills, practice independent safety skills ( treading water, jumping in and returning to side ) , practice more advanced swim strokes Advanced : are able to swim freestyle and backstroke moving across deep water , they will practice more advanced strokes ( breaststroke , butterfly ) they will practice advanced skills based on individual preferences ( diving from side, conditioning, racing starts and turns ) Session dates:Session 1 Sept 3,5,10,12,17,19Session 2 Oct 1,3,8,10,15,17Session 3 Nov 5,7,12,14,19,21
