PLEASE REGISTER EACH CHILD INTO THIS PROGRAMRegistering into this program does not guarantee a spot in After School AwesomeThis is the first step in the application process for After School Awesome for students entering Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade for the 2023-24 School Year.March 6th - Priority Registration Opens for Returning FamiliesApril 10th - Registration Opens for New FamiliesApri/May - Families AcceptedJune/July - Enrollment and PaymentApplication Process:We will be reviewing applications as they are received.Priority registration is given to past ASA families. We accept 1-Day, 2-Day, 3-Day, 4-Day, or Every Day. You must commit to at least one day of the week (i.e. Mondays) and a pick-up time of either 4:30pm or 6:00pm for the year.Upon acceptance to the program, students will be enrolled and the first months payment will be due at that time to complete the process.The Program:After School Awesome is looking forward to returning for the 2023-24 school year! After School Awesome features games, crafts, sports, homework help, science, hikes and play in all of our amazing facilities at the Lafayette Community Center! The program follows the Lafayette School District Calendar and is open on all school operating days. The program provides various activities for kids Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade and is open from School Dismissal until either 4:30pm or 6:00pm each day. We are not open on school holidays or staff development days. For school holiday and staff development days, please see our other staff run programs like Camp Awesome. The program is supervised by trained city staff who provide a safe and fun environment.Children accepted for the 2023-24 school year will be given priority registration for 2024-2025.Transportation:The Lafayette Community Center is the 1st stop on a bus route from Burton Valley Elementary through the Lamorinda School Bus Program. Students from other elementary schools will need to find alternative transportation. Annual passes or single day rides can be purchased at www.lamorindaschoolbus.org. Staff make sure ASA kids get on the bus at school and off the bus at the Community Center.Day Enrollment & Cost:You must commit to at least one day of the week for the month (i.e. Mondays). Additional days may be added at any time as long as there is space. Payments are made monthly on the 1st day of the month. Schedule changes must be requested at least 7 days in advance of the 1st day of the next month or you are responsible to pay the next months fee.Program cost can be found at www.lovelafayette.org/AfterSchoolAwesome. Fees are calculated based on $11.50/hr.
