About Camp

Youth Co-Ed Flag Football (Grades 3–8) The City of Azusa's Youth Co-Ed Flag Football Program provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where participants in 3rd through 8th grade can learn the game of flag football, develop their skills, build friendships, and enjoy healthy competition. Grade Eligibility Participants must be enrolled in 3rd through 8th grade during the current school year. Divisions are based on grade level: C Division: 3rd & 4th Grade B Division: 5th & 6th Grade A Division: 7th & 8th Grade Grade verification may be required. Registration Registration Fee: $35 per participant Registration is open until September 8 or until the league reaches capacity. Participants may register online through CivicRec or by contacting the Recreation Division Office at 626-812-5280 during normal business hours (Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM). Please Note: Team and coach requests cannot be accommodated. Following player workouts, teams are randomly generated through the City's CivicRec registration system to promote fairness and balanced competition. Registration includes: Team practices League games End of Season Banquet Official City of Azusa uniform shirt Important Season Dates Player WorkoutThursday, September 10 4:00 PM: C Division (3rd & 4th Grade) 5:00 PM: B Division (5th & 6th Grade) 6:00 PM: A Division (7th & 8th Grade) Location: Northside Park Practices Begin: Week of September 14 Season Ends: Prior to Veterans Day Picture Day and End of Season Banquet information will be shared by your coach after teams have been formed. Player Workout The Player Workout gives participants an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of flag football through skill-based activities led by Recreation Staff while kicking off the season. After the player workout: Teams will be randomly generated through CivicRec. Players will be assigned a coach. Coaches will receive their team roster and contact parents with practice information. Practice schedules, game schedules, Picture Day information, and banquet details will be shared after teams have been assigned. Practices & Games All practices and games are held at Northside Park. Practices are typically scheduled Monday through Friday between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM and last approximately one hour. League games are generally played during the same weekday time frame. Saturday morning and afternoon games may be scheduled as needed. Teams typically meet 2–3 times per week, including practices and games. Communication Once teams have been formed, coaches will contact parents with their practice schedule and season information. Parents should ensure their contact information is current during registration so they receive all program communications. We look forward to providing a positive youth flag football experience where players can develop their skills, make new friends, and build confidence both on and off the field.
