About Camp

Did you know that 1 in 5 teens & young adults live with a mental health condition according to the National Alliance for Mental Health. This presentation is a synthesized version of the full certifiable training provided by County of Santa Clara County. Youth Mental Health FIRST AID program presentation will increase your confidence to help a youth experiencing mental health distress, learn the signs and intervention tactics for successful engagement and intervention (ALGEE action plan). If you have a teen in your life; come learn how to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis; learn the knowledge and resources to connect youth to self-help or professional support. Not everyone needs a professional, but everyone needs a caring and trusted First-Aider.Please note:Class will be held at the Barbara Lee Senior Center, 40 N. Milpitas Blvd.
