About Camp
This course is designed to train participants to teach infant, child, andadult courses from the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safetyprogram. The WSI course develops an understanding of how to createlesson plans, conduct training sessions, and evaluate participantsprogress. Upon successful completion of the course, participants willreceive American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification.Prerequisites: The required swimming skills include proficiency atElementary Backstroke (Back Crawl), Breaststroke, Butterfly, Freestyle, SideStroke. Participants must also be able to back float for 1 minute and treadwater for 1 minute. Must be 16 years old by the last day of class.*Registration deadline: April 1.
