Inspired by the run-away hit movie, this holiday favorite comes to life when you and your family take a ride on The Polar Express™. Set to the music of the motion picture soundtrack, families will love their trip to the North Pole, complete with hot chocolate and cookies served prior to boarding the train. Passengers will enjoy singing, dancing, and a reading of The Polar Express™. We encourage you to wear your favorite pajamas and join in on the magic.Come join us for a magical, family-friendly event that’s fun for all ages! Immerse yourself into the story as we journey from Frostburg to the "North Pole" to see the Big Man himself!Your journey:Steam Locomotive no. 1309 will be pulling the trainWe will be riding in the First Class table car.Train ride is 60 minutes longYour journey to the North Pole covers only a portion of our line. Passengers do not disembark from the train at any time.All passengers will receive: hot chocolate & a cookiea commemorative souvenir muga special commemorative silver sleigh bellFeel free to pack a box dinner and bring with you to eat on the train.ItineraryPick up / Return to Culpeper County Fieldhouse / Sports Complex - 16388 Competition Drive, Culpeper 2:00pm Bus arrives2:15pm - Bus is leaving the Sports Complex - be sure you are on it!Approx. 4:45pm - Arrive in Frostburg at the Train Depot.5:15pm - Board the train5:30p-6:30p - lets go to the North Pole.6:45pm - board the bus7:00pm - Bus is leaving and headed back to Culpeper9:30pm - Arrive back in CulpeperTicket prices are $120 per person.FYI - This is a different train than what we visited in 2021.Refunds:Before November 13, 2022 - no questions asked - just contact the department and request your refund.November 14 - December 4, 2022 - someone must be found to take your place.If you have someone that wants your ticket, make sure that they have set up an ActiveNet Account (they can do this online or by calling the department) You then need to contact the Department to request that your tickets be transferred. Transfers cannot be done unless the other people have an ActiveNet accountIf you do not have anyone that wants your tickets then contact the department and request a refund - IF we have a waiting list, staff will contact the next person on the list to see if they want your spot. If they do, and register, we will process your refund.Refunds cannot be process after November 14 unless someone takes your spot.After December 4, 2022 - No refunds will be processed.
