About Camp
This special event is for individuals with disabilities and their families to engage in crafting a personalized birdhouse. Participants will be guided through the process of assembling, painting, and decorating their very own birdhouse, while enjoying a little fresh air and sunshine. This special event also provides opportunity to increase socialization with peers and improve fine motor skills. The event will take place at Red Wing Park Shelter #4. Participants will be provided all supplies necessary to complete the project. Registration cut off is May 2 to allow time to order supplies. You will register one family member and receive one birdhouse. Additional birdhouses can be purchased in advance for $15 each.Staff to Participant Ratio: 1:4Skills Needed: Follows one to two step directions, manage own behavior with moderate to minimal staff intervention, and ability to make simple choices. Participants must have a desire to participate in this special event.This is a special event - recreation membership and TR intake/paperwork is not required.
