About Camp
DESCRIPTION: All classes will be held on Mondays. Pool buddy must be provided by a caregiver. Pool buddy can be (parent, ABA therapists, older sibling, etc).Pool faculty reserves the right for swimmers to be moved into different classes if there are safety concerns. Adaptive Aquatics 1 (Severe): MUST always be accompanied by a pool buddy in the water. Student needs 1:1 supervision at all times by pool buddy during lessons. Example of an adaptive 1 student (never exposed to the water, can engage in self injurious or aggressive behaviors, excessive wandering, etc.). This class will work with the swimmer, and their buddy, on being more relaxed and comfortable in the water, teach basic water safety skills and fundamental skills at the swimmer's pace. If a buddy is not provided, the swimmer will have to wait until a buddy is present before they can enter the water.
