Sports Officials Training

About Camp

We want YOU to keep our kids competing! If you currently play sports, have retired from playing, or are a sports buff, this class is for you. Teams that play soccer, baseball, softball, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, and football are facing a shortage of trained individuals to officiate games, especially at the recreation, middle school, and C-team levels. This course offers an overview on how to make the correct calls, knowledge of field/court mechanics and positioning, and communication skills. This training prepares participants for immediate work opportunities with the City of Grand Junction and School District 51 sporting arenas. Work experience with these agencies is a great launch pad toward becoming a Colorado Sports Official. Trainers are CHSSA Officials with years of experience.
