There are different levels and skills to get your animal certified to become an animal actor. Paws Up is an Animal Actors Certified Evaluator (AACE) through the Animal Actors Academie International. After becoming certified your dog is entered into a database of "set-prepped" and "set-trained" animals that animal acting agencies search for local projects. The animals may get paid $50 for an audition and when hired is paid a daily wage of approximately $50-$350. With over 600,000 animals employed each year, there is a constant demand for fresh faces.
