Open Musical: High School Musical Jr Ages 11-14

About Camp

High School Musical Jr is a wonderful early stage experience for aspiring musical theatre performers in middle school. In this production oriented camp, we cast enrolled students on the first day of camp, then spend two weeks of the full-day camp rehearsing the 75 minute scripted musical. Working in COCA’s performance lab with some set, lights, sound and costume elements and live accompaniment, we practice what is takes to take the show from auditions to performance. Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on stage in Disney’s High School Musical JR. Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Kelsi, Zeke and the rest of the students of East High dance and sing their way through all the high school issues of love, friends and family. The show is performed free of charge for family and friends at COCA on June 17 at 7:00PM. Features multiple professional teaching artists to present a variety of arts disciplines.
