About This Camp & Activity
Experience the parks in a whole new light! Hiking at night can be an enchanting experience but it doesn’t have to be intimidating. Join a county park naturalist and a park ranger to listen and watch for nocturnal wildlife while admiring the night sky. We'll have red-light flashlights and headlamps available to borrow. What to Wear: dress for the weather to stay comfortable and wear sturdy footwear that can potentially get muddy or dirty. Distance: up to 2 miles on natural terrain that might be uneven. Wear study walking shoes/boots. More details: registrants will receive a reminder email 24-48 hours before the program with the exact meeting location and other details Weather cancellation: In case of uncooperative weather, participants will be notified of a cancellation 2 hours prior to the program. If no cancellation message is sent, the program will run as scheduled. Pets are not permitted unless they are a service animal. IMPORTANT: You will receive a receipt upon registration. If you do not receive a receipt, the registration was not successful. For assistance send an email to parks@co.burlington.nj.us or call (609) 265-5858.
