Mapping Palo Alto Together by artist Perry Meigs includes a series of public workshops. Participants will use vellum paper over a neighborhood map to draw their most common everyday routes of travel during the pandemic and post-pandemic. Each participant's drawing will be scanned and overlapped onto one map that reflects the community as a whole. This drawing process offers participants the chance to visualize hoe their daily patterns have changed during the pandemic.Perry's goal is to help our community heal, allowing them to reconnect with each other both physically and mentally, resulting in an understanding of the pandemic's impact on themselves and their neighbors. This workshop is offered in person at Avenidas at 450 Bryant Street. Space is limited. Pre-registration required. All art materials will be provided. This workshop is offered in partnership with the Palo Alto Department of Public Art.
