About Camp
Prior to the first day of class, the skills test and candidate interviews will be conducted on Wednesday, February 9th. Candidates that have successfully completed the skills test, interviews and are seeking employment with the City of Olathe will get free enrollment for the online American Red Cross Lifeguarding/ Waterpark Course. Candidates successfully completing the course will be certified in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED as well as Waterpark Lifeguarding.Prerequisites: Swim 300 yards continuously, swimming a combination of Front and Breast stroke. Tread water with no hands for 2 min. Retrieve a 10lbs object from deep water. Must be at least 15, and attend all classes.
