Intro to Tap Dancing, Ages 9 & Up

Welcome to our beginner level tap class! In this 8 week session, dancers will learn the basics to tap, how to combine different steps to create intricate combo patterns, and start to understand musicality & it’s importance to dance! Our instructor, Miss Lauren, has been dancing for over 10 years and tap is what initially got her into dance. She has trained under & danced alongside many famous tappers including Savion Glover, Christopher Rice, Mike Minery, and many more! Lauren had the opportunity to tap in NYC to showcase her skills with Broadway dancers, but unfortunately due to COVID that was put on pause. For the time being while she waits to start her tap career back up again, she is very excited to influence young dancers to show them that it IS possible to achieve their goals! She is looking forward to helping young dancers find THEIR love for tap just as she did many years ago.
