Learn all about clay and let your imagination soar! Discover how to pinch, coil, slab build, use drape and push molds, make decorative plates, bowls, boxes, mosaic tiles, jewelry, sculpt large or small, and more. A class demonstration is offered during the second week of each session, and individual artistic and technical support is given throughout the session. The requirements to attend an intermediate, intermediate/advanced class are knowing the fundamental building techniques, including and not limited to how to use the slab roller, scoring and slipping, pinching, coiling, using molds, and knowing how to glaze. Fundamentals are not taught at the intermediate and advanced levels, instead, students build on the skills they have acquired so they can achieve more complex projects and continue towards more advanced techniques. Fundamentals – Intro to Ceramics will be available in the Fall session, stay tuned. No exceptions.
