About Camp
The emphasis will be on sportsmanship, skill development, team concept, and fun. Game scores and league standings will be kept. Final league standings will be determined by a facility tournament with first place team playing the fourth place team, and second place team playing the third-place team. Winners will advance to play in a League Championship Game. Part-time staff costs are associated with league support, games, and scorekeeping. There will be one practice per week with a volunteer coach, and one game on Saturdays for ten weeks for (D1-D4). Minimum/Maximum 8/10 players. Weekday practice and Saturday game times will be discussed at the youth parent/guardian information meeting. PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOLS In effort to continue placing the safety of our park goers first, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation sports programming will adhere to the latest Youth Sports Protocol set by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. We appreciate all park goers and program participants support in adhering to these protocols, with the most up-to-date information found below:•Participants and spectators must self screened for COVID-19 symptoms before entering the gymnasium.•Participants ages 5 and over must provide proof of being fully vaccinated OR be prepared to submit weekly negative COVID-19 test results. •Participants will be required to wear a mask at all times indoors, even during times of heavy exertion. •Spectators will be required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status while inside the gymnasium. •Parents or guardians must attend an initial meeting about COVID-19 safety protocols before the start of the season.
