Are you an experienced kayak or SUP paddler ready to get out and explore the waterways around Bair Island and the Port of Redwood City on your own or with friends. With our drop-in kayaking or SUP paddling time slots you can do just that. We provide kayaks, SUPs, paddles, and PFDs. We will also provide a simple navigation map. Prior to launching participants must take a short boating &navigation safety quiz. Explore forgotten Redwood Creek into downtown Redwood City or venture further out and see up close the restoration of Bair Island and its thriving marine eco system. All participants must be able to swim and tread water. Kayaking and SUP requires a moderate degree of fitness and balance.Participants 13-17 years old are welcome must be accompanied by a paid adult.Bair Island Aquatic Center, www.gobair.org/ Scroll down for important program information.
