In honor of all the pets who have touched our lives and held a special place in our hearts, we invite our community to join us for this special annual event. Cabezon Park will be transformed into a beautiful ofrenda space filled with traditional Dia de Los Muertos symbols and decor. Community members and the shelter staff can adorn the ofrenda with photos of departed pets, mementos, toys, and treats as the alter grows throughout the day. It's a great opportunity to bring your rescue group out and participate in the adopt-a-thon.Bring your dog(s) out to Cabezon Park for a pet parade and costume contest! Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. There will be various animal rescue groups and shelters there trying to find good homes for some loving animals, who are looking for a best friend to go home with. There will be food trucks and pet related vendors too!All pet participants MUST have current proof of vaccinations to register for the event.
