About This Camp & Activity
Dance Moooode! Come down to the Rollin Edwards Community Center for a fun parent and child dance class with Miss Laurel! During this 45-minute class you and your toddler will participate in fun dance games designed to target social, physical, and cognitive development. Young children benefit tremendously from conceptual creative dance classes because the sensorimotor skills developed along with social and emotional engagement lay down the foundation for a healthy brain and body. Miss Laurel has a bachelor's in dance (performance and choreography) from the College of Charleston. She has over 20 years of dance experience and 8 years of theatre experience. She interned at the South Carolina Children’s Theatre in Greenville, SC in 2019, where she learned how to create and instruct fun, engaging acting classes for ages 3-18. She went on the be the Fine Arts Program Leader at Gwynn Valley Summer Camp in 2021 and the Assistant Programmer at Keystone Camp for Girls in 2022 (both in Brevard, NC). She has also taught locally at Barre Nation in Nexton and at Magnolia Dance Academy on Old Trolley Road. “This is going to be fun!” Chili Heeler Thursday, November 12th | 10:00 am - 10:45 am The $8 cost covers the participation fee for one (1) toddler and the caregiver(s). At least one caregiver must be present in the class with the toddler, and that caregiver is allowed to oversee multiple children/siblings. The price of “Dance Mode!” also includes admission to Tot Time open play from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.
