About This Camp & Activity
Join Sports & Recreation Coordinator Jack Pizziferro on a guided hike through the Watershed Nature Center! During the hike, we’ll explore wetland ecosystems, learn Leave No Trace skills, and discover so much more about the natural world around us. This event is open to all ages, but please check the EEC to determine if the hike is a good fit for you. Guided Hikes are anywhere between 1-2 hours and will be hosted 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. Timeliness is extremely important. All participants should arrive 5-10mins early. ESSENTIAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ------------------------------------ Must be able to walk one mile unassisted on uneven terrain. Ability to navigate over roots, gravel, other natural terrain unassisted. Tolerate outdoor conditions (heat, cold, wind, insects) Navigate limited-width trail segments where stepping off the path may result in entering shallow water. Ability to maintain a slow pace for at least 65 minutes. Ability to follow verbal instructions. Manage one’s own personal needs unassisted (Bathroom, Hydration, Snacks, etc)
