About This Camp & Activity
Are you ready for when a disaster happens? Learn how to prepare yourself, your family, and your neighborhood for a disaster! CERT Basic Training is a free, hands-on emergency preparedness training program taught by first responder personnel and subject matter experts. Topics Covered:• Disaster Preparedness• Fire Safety and Utility Controls• Disaster Medical Operations Part I and Part II• Light Search and Rescue Operations• CERT Organization• Disaster Psychology• Terrorism and CERT• Course Review, Final Exam, and Disaster Simulation All participants must be 18 years of age or older (16 -17 years of age allowed with parent/guardian permission). Participants will a certificate upon completion of the course. To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend all sessions and participate in the disaster simulation. Arrangements can be made to make-up sessions. Classes will take place at the Chino Police Department as well as the Chino Valley Fire Training Center (depending on the topic covered).
