Mission Statement: The Howell Area Parks and Recreation Authority's mission statement is to bring the community together by facilitating spaces and programs for individuals of all ages and abilities to connect, feel healthy, and engage in recreation. At Howell Rec we strive to create a place where all can PLAY, GROW AND BELONG! No matter who you are, we aim to make Howell a place where everyone can PLAY, GROW and BELONG! Recreational Sports Format: Here at Howell Recreation, we facilitate recreational sports that combine teaching and skill up keep while engaging with community participants. Youth sports are intended to serve all athletes equally, while fun is the main factor. Scores will not be logged. Standings will not be kept. Howell Recreation has a ZERO TOLERENCE for poor sportsmanship. Howell Youth Basketball League features players in grades 7th – 8th and will play at the Oceola Community Center (1661 N. Latson Rd.) Practices will be held once per week Monday, Tuesday or Thursday for one hour between 6-8pm. Games will be held on Saturdays starting at 8am. Our leagues depend on Parent Volunteer Coaches, we appreciate all of the help and hard work put in to this league and would love to have your support!
