About This Camp & Activity
This a continuing class from the Winter/Spring 2026 Beginning Drum Set. Must have attended a past session. Learn how to play drums in a rock band! The Beginning class is designed for students with little or no previous drum set experience and introduces the fundamentals of playing the drum set, reading music, understanding rhythm and tempo, proper technique, and basic rock beats through rudimentary stick exercises that build muscle control and dexterity. The Continuing class is for students who have completed the Beginning class or have equivalent experience and builds on these foundational skills with more advanced rhythms, coordination, techniques, and rock songs. Students will need a practice pad and drumsticks. Each student will have the opportunity to practice on a drum kit during class. A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.
