About This Camp & Activity
The Keller Pointe is hosting American Red Cross Babysitters Training. Keller Pointe members will receive a $25 discount on this course. Babysitters Training provides youth planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. In addition, this training will help participants develop leadership skills, create a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe, help children behave, and learn about primary child care and first aid. The required age for this course is 11-16 years old. Please pack snacks and a refillable water bottle for participants. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive the American Red Cross Babysitters Training Certification. Obtaining the Babysitter's Training Certification will be done 9:00am-1pm, you may choose to pick up your babysitter if you do not opt-in to the additional CPR training. In addition to this certification, an optional add-on is the Pediatric First-Aid and CPR session immediately following the Babysitter's Training portion, where the participants will advance through basic life support skills with certified American Red Cross Instructors to obtain their Pediatric First-Aid and CPR certifications through American Red Cross, this option is $45 and will be from 1:30pm to 6:00pm. All sessions will be held at The Keller Pointe. The schedule: Friday February 12th: just Babysitter's Training: 9am-1pm Friday February 12th: Babysitter's Training plus Pediatric CPR and First Aid: 9am-6pm with a lunch break
