Swim Lessons follows the Red Cross Learn-to Swim instruction guidelines in which swimmers if all ages and varying abilities are helped in developing their swimming and water skills. Each class must have a minimum of 3 participants to begin. Participants must preregister for all classes. All classes meet twice a week for four weeks. A video may be included during swim lesson schedule. Parent & Child: 6 Months-3 Years Beginners Class: Age 4-5 Beginners 2.0: Ages 6-15 Intermediate: 6-15 Please see Swim Lessons Requirements below: Parent & Child: Parents must be in the water with their children. Instructors will work at the skill level of each child regardless of varied abilities (one child per parent). Beginners-New Swimmer Beginners 2.0-New Swimmer or basic water experience Intermediate-Must be able to swim in front and back for 1/2 pool length Rockdale County Parks & Recreation require all participants to enroll in the appropriate swim level. If a swimmer is found to be in the incorrect level during their initial evaluation, they may be transferred to the correct class, space permitting. A $15 administrative transfer fee applies. If the correct level is at capacity or no openings exist, the registration will be canceled, and the registration fee will be forfeited." Schedule and Time is scheduled to change Inclement Weather: Makeup classes will be held at the end of each session.
