About This Camp & Activity

Usher in the spirit of the season by participating in a public community reading of Charles Dickens’ 1843 novella.We will attempt to read the entire story from start to finish by the fireplace at the library on Thursday, December 4, starting at 5:00 pm. All are invited and encouraged to attend—individuals, families, book clubs, and groups—and participate by reading a portion of the book. All reading levels are welcome!We are asking those who sign up to commit to being at the library ten minutes prior to the start of their reading slot and to remain for the full thirty minutes that they are signed up (and hopefully for longer). We will assign 3-5 readers per slot, and each reader will read for 7-10 minutes as well as listen to others. Family and friends are encouraged to come see you read.
