Step back in time and experience the legendary island that has been a civil war fort, a military prison and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US history. Take a self-guided tour of the infamous former prison, which was home to the likes of Al Capone, George "Machine Gun" Kelley and Robert "Ther Birdman" Stroud. Lunch at Pier 39 included. Activity Level: Strenuous/Moderate amount of walking involved. Cancellation deadline is June 5.
