About Camp
Adventure Camp is a signature Chicago Park District specialty day camp for 6-12 year olds that provides children with an immersive, FUN experience in the outdoors, introducing the richness and abundance of nature at Northerly Island. Led by the Northerly Island Adventure Camp staff, naturalists and local wildlife stewards, this camp’s goal is to engage students in inquiry based learning through nature exploration. Campers learn to catch a fish, plant a garden, explore the lake through water investigations, discover their role in the ecosystem, imagine new worlds during nature play.
