About Camp
In this class, students explore character and motivation through theatrical and movement-based exercises as they extend their understanding of theatre acting. They develop vocal range, character physicalization, and introductory text analysis. During the semester, students rehearse and perform two- and three-person scenes from the American theatrical canon of plays and musicals. Audition skills are explored through monologue prep and cold-readings. Acting III is a prerequisite or instructor approval is required. An end-of-semester jury is required for progression to the next level. Junior/Senior Division combined class.
