Join the Writing Workshop to explore your own writing style. Whether you want to write fiction, your memoir, essays, or short stories, this class will provide you with the tools and support to get started or continue writing.Besides writing prompts, the instructor will cover basic writing and editing principles, including grammar, punctuation, paragraph structure and topic sentences, essay structure and rhetorical modes, thesis statements, and the writing process. Sharing out and feedback from the instructor and classmates will be a part of the class. About the instructor:Beverle Lax, PhD, has a doctorate in African languages and linguistics. She is an experienced writer, editor, and proofreader who taught expository and argumentative writing for 20 years in Kenya.
