Join Carmen to learn the basic techniques for painting with acrylic paints. Subjects will include seascapes, landscapes, portraits, abstracts, and floral designs. Beginners are welcome. A note from our instructor, Carmen Lax:My life passion is creative expression through drawing and painting. I love using vibrant colors to forge more intense and captivating atmospheres. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California College of Arts & Crafts in Oakland. I have exhibited my artwork from the age of 9 years at public and private functions in the Bay Area and across the country, winning several awards. Notable exhibits include Bergwell Gallery, Oakland, California; John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C.; Southwest Watercolor Society & 8680 Gallery in Frisco, Texas; and the Arlington Museum, Arlington, Texas. I am a member of the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto.
