About Camp

Earth Day is April 22nd, and we'll be celebrating all month! The sprouts and trees are wide awake now and there are so many flowers to play with. Teacher Amanda will show you how to dry what's blooming so we can look more closely at nature's amazing beauty. You'll even get to make and keep your own drying rack! Each week we'll learn more about what's growing around us and experiment with different ways to use these supplies for ART! Weekly projects will include things like identification and preservation, flower dangles, and 'yard debris' sculptures made from what we can harvest this time of year.Supply Fee: $10 for drying rack materials. Due to the instructor on the first day of class.Instructor: Amanda BayhaWITHDRAWALS & CANCELLATIONSCancelations of class registrations that occur prior to five (5) business days from the start of a class or workshop will be eligible for a full refund of payment.Cancelations within five (5) days will be eligible for an account credit.Cancelations within 48 hours of the start of the class will forfeit all class fees.Account credits may be used for classes at the SCA, or any other program of SCA. Our focus is the safety and enjoyment of every student in class. To that end, we ask that parents and guardians exit the room once class is underway. If your child needs special accommodations to be successful in class, please talk to Arts Center staff ahead of time. Students are expected to stay in the class for the duration, and not leave class without permission from the teacher. Class participants of all ages are expected to exhibit kindness and respect towards their fellow classmates, the teaching artist, and the building. Class participants are not allowed to roam the building unattended, and we need permission in writing in order for children to walk or ride their bike home alone after class. All of our teaching artists and staff members are background checked, and have reviewed our safety policies and procedures. Please review these expectations with your student, and contact us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to creating with you! Supply fee: $10 for drying rack materials
