About Camp

The Mira Costa Orchestra Program is strong and growing, with a reputation as one of the premier high school programs in the state of California. Led by Director Peter Park, who is a much sought-after clinician, presenter, and guest conductor throughout California. Our young musicians enjoy a robust curriculum augmented by a variety of enriching experiences, requiring much attention and effort each and every year from students, parents and faculty. To continue to provide for the quality music education of our young musicians, your contributions are vital. Families defray nearly all costs associated with providing for the program, including the purchase of new instruments, music scores, licensing, coaching fees, concert costs, festival fees, Financial Assistance, and other incidentals. We do this via our “Fair Share Donation,” a donation amount based on anticipated costs for the year. This year, the “Fair Share Donation” amount is $300 per string musician and $200 per wind/percussion musician. If your family can donate more, please do! Donation Tier Amount/Musician • Allegro $150 – The Allegro tier is Wind/Percussion Fair Share donation • Presto $300 – The Presto tier is the String Orchestra Fair Share donation• Vivace $375 • Maestoso $525 (includes 2 advance seating tickets and a choice of computer tote bag/blanket/travel tumbler) • Grandioso $775 (includes 4 advance seating tickets and a choice of computer tote bag/blanket/travel tumbler) • Virtuoso $1,000 (includes 6 advance seating tickets and a choice of computer tote bag/blanket/travel tumbler) • Maestro $2,000 (includes 8 advance seating tickets and a choice of computer tote bag/blanket/travel tumbler)
