Learn to Swim Level 5

Red Cross Learn to Swim classes are progressive classes for youths, ages 6 to 12 years old.The Level 5 class requires successful completion of Level 4 or successful demonstration of Level 4 Exit Skills:Perform a feetfirst entry into deep water, swim front crawl for 25 yards, change direction and position as necessary and swim elementary backstroke for 25 yards.Swim breaststroke for 15 yards, change direction and position as necessary and swim back crawl for 15 yards.Submerge and swim a distance of 3 to 5 body lengths underwater without hyperventilating, return to the surface, then exit the water.Skills refined in this level include: Front crawlBack crawlBreaststrokeButterflyElementary BackstrokeSidestrokeTreading waterHeadfirst entriesFront flip turnAll swim classes incorporate Water Safety Habits and Skills.
