Learn about basic music theory including the staff, ledger lines, intervals, building chords from intervals (triads thru seventh chords), how to build scales and modes, and how to use them in simple compositions as well as how to recognize them in simple songs. Simple work sheets which show notation, rests, and key signatures will be provided. Everything will be kept at an understandable and enjoyable level.This class is open to anyone who wants to learn more about music. No musical experience is needed or expected. New and continuing students are welcome.
